Domain control for enterprise-grade account security
What’s new?
With domain control, Scribe enhances your organization’s security by giving you precise control over user access. Enterprise Grid plan customers can now block personal account creation with work emails, ensuring employees automatically join their organization’s Enterprise account. This prevents unassociated rogue accounts, strengthens data protection, and keeps every user under the correct permissions from day one.
How does it work?
Enterprise Grid plan customers can work with their Customer Success Manager to initiate domain control. Once active, any user who signs up for any Scribe account (including Basic and Pro self-serve plans) with an approved work email will automatically join the organization’s Enterprise account. Personal account creation with that domain is blocked entirely, helping enterprises maintain centralized oversight and consistent access controls.
If you’re not an Enterprise Grid plan customer and are interested in getting domain control enabled for your organization, reach out to our Sales & Customer Success team.
FAQs
Q. What happens to existing personal accounts created with a work email address?
A. Existing accounts will not be automatically transferred to the Enterprise account. An administrator can request a migration by reaching out to your Customer Success Manager.
Q. Can employees still use personal accounts with private email addresses?
A. Yes. Domain control only restricts registration and sign-in with an approved work domain. Personal email addresses (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo) remain unrestricted as there isn’t a way to know from a personal email address that someone is an employee of a company with an Enterprise Scribe account.
Q. What happens when new employees try to sign up?
A. If they use a work email, they will automatically be added to the Enterprise account and will not be able to create a separate personal account.
